Charles Bennett isn’t pursuing a mechanical engineering degree because he is passionate about math, physics, electronics or computer coding. He’s studying it because he absolutely loves automobiles. He says mechanical engineering has opened his eyes to the world and how it works, giving him the ability to see far more than physical parts.
Outside of the classroom, Charles has spent countless hours online researching and learning everything he can about existing and upcoming auto tech and performance aftermarket auto parts. He familiarized himself with the American, European and Japanese aftermarkets through several ambitious restorations, including a 1979 Corvette, an E46 BMW 325i and an Acura RSX. His time spent researching, purchasing and installing parts from global manufactures allows him to think like a consumer, something he knows will serve him well in the future.
